Aimee Lerman | Board Member
Aimee is an advisory board member of Quilt 2 End ALZ, Incorporated.
She is interested in issues of healthy living and healthy longevity, and many of those discussions have carryover into mental health and cognitive wellness. Having seen the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s and related conditions on family members, Aimee is helping to spread awareness and nurture a sense of community for all whom Alzheimer’s touches, whether as a victim of the disease, a caregiver, or a family member or friend.
After growing up in several states west of the Mississippi, Aimee earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Boston University and a Master’s Degree in Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin. She stayed in Austin after college, raising two daughters and building a professional career first in the insurance industry and then at an Austin-based utility company.
Aimee is an avid reader and discovered her creative side through fiber and fabric arts such as cross-stitch, knitting, and quilting. Every quilter has her own favorite part of the process – for Aimee it’s piecing the top and seeing the pattern come together in a beautiful array of colors and textures.
