It is with great pleasure that I introduce the Forget Me Not patchwork and appliqué quilt pattern:
When I first met Teresa Marler from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, I was blown away by her talent – she is an unbelievable quilter, especially when it comes to appliqué work!
Teresa is a teacher, speaker, and designer, and she has an incredible wealth of sewing knowledge.
Life was at its craziest when I asked Teresa if she was interested in partnering as a Marquee Designer.
She didn’t say “no” but she did ask for a delayed timeline.
I was happy to accommodate whatever she needed just to have the opportunity to work with her!
Then, about ten days later, I received a message from Teresa that truly warmed my heart.
Quilting to End Alzheimer’s
Teresa emailed me to say that this project had stayed on her mind and was deep in her heart. In fact, she already had a pattern in mind.
I was elated!
Teresa’s design uses a fabulous variety of fabrics to create a joyful and cheery layout that feels like a warm and well-loved patchwork quilt.
Sprinkled among the patchwork are 10 adorable elephants that are marching across the quilt top, spraying love as they go.
Teresa asked if we could name the pattern “Forget Me Not” to honor two very special women in her life who died from Alzheimer’s.
I am always touched by the meaningful ways people remember and celebrate the impact of others in their lives, and I thought “Forget Me Not” was the perfect name for this quilt!
So many gorgeous fabrics from which to choose.
To create a fabric kit for the Forget Me Not quilt, we decided to go vivid and bold.
Our 5 “solids” are from the Twist collection by Dashwood Studio:
We fell in love with the Soiree collection also by Dashwood Studio and designed by Susan Driscoll, so we had to have them for our prints:
Finally, in Robert Kaufman’s Kona Cottons we found the perfect pink to use for the appliqué hearts and binding:
Together, these florals and dots and squiggles make one very charming quilt!

A Quilt to End ALZ
Even with fancy lights and a great camera, photography simply does not do this quilt justice – it is absolutely beautiful!
And I hope you can read and hear in my writing how excited and proud I am to share it with you today.
It is truly a quilt to end ALZ 💜
Thank you to my sweet friend, Teresa Marler, for her love, generosity, and patience – if there are any errors in the project, I assure you they are completely my own!
And thank YOU for being on this journey with me…
Together we will Quilt 2 End ALZ!!
With love and hugs,
Ashli

I went to school with Teresa and it doesn’t surprise me at all that she designed such a beautiful quilt. She was alway good at anything she attempted to do. She would work at it until she got it right. So proud of her for designing this quilt in memory of the two lady’s.
