As you may have heard, we’re taking our show on the road this year. Throughout 2020, I’ll be traveling across the country visiting quilt guilds and organizations to share our presentation and educate quilters on the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease.
(My goal is 20 programs this year, and I’d love to visit you!)
As part of these speaking events, I’ll also be offering a workshop for our brand-new block pattern.
A few lucky guilds that I visited earlier this month got a little sneak peak, but here she is – our 2020 TLD Block:
Flower Show!
As with our 2019 TLD block, 80% of the proceeds from each block pattern we sell will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association as part of our Longest Day team fundraising efforts.
Also like last year’s block, this block pattern comes with some extra special fabric! The pattern includes instructions and enough of our new signature “Flower Show” fabric to create two blocks, one to keep and one to mail back to us.
The blocks that are sent back to us will be used to create fundraising projects – quilts, pillows, bags, hot pads, and more – when we come together at our 2nd Annual TLD Workshop. We host the workshop to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association “The Longest Day®” campaign, and this year’s workshop will be a day-long event for quilters to work together to shine a light on beating ALZ. We sure hope you will join us!
And don’t worry if your local guild isn’t on our upcoming events list yet, Flower Show is also available in our shop! So even if you can’t make it to a workshop, we would still love for you to sew with us from afar and join our TLD efforts.

Hey girl, I’m not part of a group but I would love to get the kit for the blocks. Is there different blocks every month or how does this work. My mother has Alzheimer’s. It’s just awful!! Hope your doing well
I did not know about your mom – I’m so sorry! We would love for you to join us 🙂 We create a new block each year, and when you purchase the pattern, you’ll get instructions and a special piece of fabric to make two of the same block with your scraps. You keep one to use on your own projects, and you send the second one back to us. $20 from the pattern purchase goes directly to the Alzheimer’s Association, and the blocks we receive back from quilters all across the world go into projects that we will finish and sell as fundraisers. I can’t wait to see your block!!
